Measurement trains are a safe alternative for manual track inspections and therefore carry out the majority of the inspections. In this master thesis the planning and scheduling of measurement trains is studied to search for efficiency improvements. It presents the analyses of the current planning processes and a modelling approach to find an efficient inspection path. Based on the model results and the analyses, recommendations for efficiency improvements are given.
