The Upcycling Centre Zuidoost will connect both sides in the future of 2050 in a physical, social and economic way. This is done by creating a building that becomes the driver of the circular economy. It is a place where waste is transported to and sorted, whereafter start-ups will upcycle the waste into new products. The start-ups will create new sustainable jobs to fight the high unemployment rate in Zuidoost and generate new local economic value. Program such as a market, shops and a restaurant will form an attractive and easily approachable building and creates social inclusion and interaction between all the different users.
