However, no one has proposed a tool for measuring the alignment between a business model and business processes. This research project aims to fill this gap in the literature by developing a framework that enables the creation of performance measurement systems which aim at measuring the alignment between a company’s business model and its business processes. The framework we propose will be targeted at software development companies. We build our framework following the design-oriented research paradigm and one full design cycle was completed. The framework we built was applied to a real-live case in Dutch company. We build an business model / business processes alignment measurement system there and evaluated it with the help of employees of the company.
