The traditional living neighbourhoods reflect the historic socio-spatial network of the first spaces (Lilong, shantytown), the second places ( modern textile factories) and the third places ( streets, commercial streets, workers' club, etc.). With the urban transformation, the historic socio-spatial network is vanishing and new social structure threats the future of the historic network.By utilising the concept of third places from sociology, third places, as the main objects in the project are used to reconnect the historic socio-spatial network and create new spaces to unite all the social groups in the future. Based on the research, third places with multiple space qualities will offer an inclusion, accessible spaces while the space narrative telling the memory of the historic network.
