This paper evaluates the impact of those five trends on the realisation of the Dutch public transport policy. Interviews were conducted at six different regional PTAs to gain insight in the problems in the Dutch public transport sector. The identified trends have an impact that is opposite to the desired increase in competition and decentralisation of tasks and responsibilities.
