In the Design as Politics studio this is done by researching an Utopia, in this case applied to our global system of food production. The proposed design of pig farming in an arcadian landscape answers the main research question 'What are the spatial potentials for an alternative and sustainable pig farm model'. The whole production chain of pig farming is taken in consideration including its social, economic and ecological implications. This knowledge is translated into a design where spatial implications of the alternative food discourse and conventional discourse are made explicit leaving the public to form their own opinion.
