Evaluation and comparison of three common network types (i.e. begin-and-end, hub-and-spoke, and line network) to establish guidelines for the design of port hinterland intermodal inland waterway transport networks. The research was conducted by using both literature, as well as a model that was based on existing software, but adapted from personal to freight transport specifically for this task.
