This program was developed in the 1990s by the National Aerospace Laboratory of the Netherlands (NLR) but never validated. WIN3VE is written for the High Speed Tunnel (HST) in Amsterdam. This wind tunnel is now run by the German and Dutch Wind tunnels (DNW). In order to provide their customers with more accurate results the DNW decided to investigate if WIN3VE could be used regularly during testing. To this end they started a validation process. This thesis is a step in the validation process, the goal given by the two following research questions: • What are the strengths and weaknesses of WIN3VE? • Where do the weaknesses come from?
