Abstract

A lecture and roundtable discussion in celebration of the reprint of Raumplan versus Plan Libre: Adolf Loos and Le Corbusier, 1919–1930 edited by Max Risselada.

This event will consist of introductory remarks by Max Risselanda, followed by a lecture by Aleksander Laslo, entitled "Raumplan, Plan Libre, or...," on the architectural work of Zlatko Neumann, pupil, coworker, and follower of Adolf Loos, and Ernest Weismann, co-worker and associate to Le Corbusier, and their respective interpretation—or rather amalgamation—of the Raumplan and Plan Libre principles. This talk will also cover the Central European architectural network of the late 1920s and 30s. The evening will conclude with a roundtable discussion between Max Risselada, Aleksander Laslo, Vedran Mimica, and Salomon Frausto.
