Faculty Architecture Date 2010-06-01 Abstract A number of Dutch organisations involved in quality assurance in research are collaborating on a project entitled Evaluating Research in Context, or ‘ERiC’. One of the aims of the project is to develop methods for evaluating the societal relevance of research. This guide has been written to supplement two Dutch protocols for the ex post evaluation of research groups and research institutes. ERiC is a partnership between the Netherlands Association of Universities of Applied Sciences (HBO-raad), the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW), the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), the Association of Universities in the Netherlands (VSNU) and the Rathenau Institute’s Science System Assessment department.
