Contributor De Vos, P. (mentor) Faculty Mechanical, Maritime and Materials Engineering Department Marine & Transport Technology Programme Ship Design, Production & Operations Date 2016-01-26 Abstract In this thesis, a new method of sizing marine equipment will be applied to main components of marine auxiliary systems. The new method is called 'first principle' method. This new method will be applied to other marine system components; namely shell and tube heat exchangers, plate heat exchangers and centrifugal pumps. The results prove the applicability and universality of the sizing model.
