In addition, politicians and policy makers have stimulated unconventional types of participation, such as deliberative consultations and citizen participation. In the policy making process for further development of Schiphol Airport, several types of unconventional participation are present. In this research, a Q-methodology is performed to determine the perspectives of stakeholders regarding the current and future Schiphol Airport development policy process. This analysis resulted in five different perspectives, with a high level of disagreement between these perspectives on several statements. It is advisable that the government provides a main line framework and let the participants mutually come to a decision regarding further development of Schiphol Airport.
