Bovy, P.H.L. Faculty Civil Engineering and Geosciences Department Transport and Planning Date 1998-07-23 Abstract This report represents the second report in regarding macroscopic traffic flow modelling. In this report we present a multiple lane generalisation of the aggregate-lane multiple user-class model. Key to its derivation is the lane-specific multiple user-class phase-space density (MUCPSD), generalising the traditional spatial density by considering traffic of different user-classes on separate lanes, driving at a specific velocity while having a certain desired velocity. To this end, a distinction is made between unconstrained and constrained traffic.
