It has been compared with normal strength and high performance concrete. The goal was to investigate if UHPC could be used as a serious alternative next to other types of concrete for a design in bridges. The research showed that there is a great potential in using UHPC as it delivers very strong and durable structures, which are aesthetically pleasing as well, becasue structures can be made very slender, something that is very difficult to achieve with other types of concrete.
