Raumlabor
AbstractThis lecture is part of the "Flashback/Flash-Forward: Scenes from the Practice of Architecture" lecture series. The Berlage Institute has invited five contemporary architecture practices, who will discuss their recent work as well as reflect on the architectural projects, theories, and writings of the past decade that have influenced their work. The aim is both to explore the last decade of architectural production and to give a glimpse of the trends that will lead architecture culture and practice in the decade to come. Matthias Rick studied Architecture in Berlin (TU Berlin). He founded the "Institute of Applied Architecture" in 1997. From 1998-2001 he worked as assistant to Prof Horst Antes. He is a member of Raumlaborberlin since 2002. Raumlaborberlin designs interactive strategies to recover publicity. They explore the urban space, its usage, its peripheries and borders. |
