Faculty Applied Sciences Date 2003-05-28 Abstract The invention is directed to catalyst compositions comprising a zeolite, as well as to processes for the reduction of nitrogen oxides (NOx) employing these catalyst compositions. The catalyst compositions of the invention comprise a zeolite of the ferrierite type (FER), which zeolite is ion exchanged with Ce, in particular Ce-H-FER and are very active in the selective catalytic reduction of NOx, even if this reaction is carried out in the presence of water and sulfur compounds.
