The goal of this research is to explore the costs and benefits of different intervention strategies for vacant office buildings from a life cycle costing perspective. Taking into account the operating period of transformed office buildings provides insight in the actual financial result of transformed buildings compared to demolished and new-build. With the LCC approach the gap between the developer and the investor, and the investment- and operating costs with transformation can be bridged.
