(mentor) Faculty Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science Department Applied mathematics Programme Numerical Analysis Date 2015-11-26 Abstract The CONTACT software is capable of analyzing contact problems between two objects. In this thesis, we will show how CONTACT can be used for time-dependent contact problems. An algorithm will be designed which is capable of computing the deformation that occurs as the result of a train moving over a bridge.
