The biphase-modulated high-frequency carrier transmitted by a satellite is converted via a fixed local oscillator frequency down to the baseband, whereafter the baseband signal is fed via a bandpass filter, which has an adequately broad pass band to allow the baseband signal to pass through, regardless of the Doppler shift in the satellite signal, to a detector unit, in which the baseband signal is subjected to an edge detection operation.
