Current conventional aircraft are responsible for emissions and noise that often lead to nuisance for residents. In order to make aviation more sustainable, aircraft manufacturers are studying the possibilities to replace fuel with a battery. However, due to a different powertrain, the performances deviate from conventional aircraft. This affects the air traffic management operations. This research studies how to integrate hybrid and electric aircraft in between conventional aircraft at (crowded) airports.
