Three different types of slope protection are discussed : — combination of impervious element and slope protection (aspnalt concrete, prefab mastic mattresses); — heavy duty slope protection (penetration of loose riprap, basic design principles, examples); — bituminous filter construction : sandasphalt filter-layer, masticmac protective layer, partial penetration of riprap and rubble; design principles.
