To this end, an agent-based dynamic and stochastic simulation model for public transport operations, that can consider service reliability issues, is used in combination with a search algorithm based on simulated annealing. The model is applied to multiple case studies in order to test parameter sensitivities and identify practical benefits of the obtained results. Practical applications show that a change in supply provision proposed by the model results can create significant benefits.
