New players entered this field with new solutions (e.g. Google, PayPal, Apple and cloud-based payment). Banks might need to adopt these technologies as well to stay competitive. This thesis investigates what are the solutions available in m-payment today. Also, we provide a new theoretical framework to define the mpayment environment, based on ecosystem and platform theory. Further, we involve m-payment stakeholders to understand the most important performance criteria and requirements for an m-payment solution.
