Eyal Weizman is an architect and the director of the Centre for Research Architecture at Goldsmiths College, University of London. Before this role, Weizman was a professor of architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Weizman works with a variety of NGOs and Human right groups in Israel/Palestine and, with Sandi Hilal and Alessandro Petti, is a founding member of DAAR. He cocurated the exhibition A Civilian Occupation, The Politics of Israeli Architecture, and co-edited the publication of the same title. Weizman has taught, lectured, and organized conferences in many institutions worldwide and his publications include The Lesser Evil, Hollow Land, A Civilian Occupation, Yellow Rhythms and many articles in journals, magazines and edited books. Weizman is an editor at large for Cabinet Magazine in New York and the recipient of the James Stirling Memorial Lecture Prize.
