Contributor Kaminski, M.L. (mentor) Faculty Mechanical, Maritime and Materials Engineering Department Offshore & Dredging Engineering Programme Structural Analysis & Design Date 2015-11-25 Abstract The objective of the thesis is to compare a common practice fatigue analysis with a multiaxial fatigue analysis for an installation unit that can install large gravity base offshore wind turbines (up to 10MW) in its entirety. From this comparison the effect of the phase relation between normal and shear stress on the fatigue damage is analyzed.
