(mentor) Avissar, I. (mentor) Faculty Architecture and The Built Environment Department The Berlage Programme The Berlage Date 2016-01-29 Abstract The Terminal explores the line of a future tram extension into Marseille’s marginalized Quartiers Nord. Masquerading as a newspaper, the project is a critical cartography which merges current events, cliche reputations, expert interviews and personal experience to construct a territory of the possible realities and fictions of an arbitrary day in Marseille. Set in 2022, the newspaper collapses past and future into a synthetic present, subverting the conception of an urban project as the resolution of a linear problem.
