Fly Me to The Moon v2.1

The Summer Introduction Programme 2015 welcomes about 1600 international students who follow an obligatory programme. Throughout a week of project work students design a water rocket and an academic poster, get familiarized with the Delft study method, and working in multicultural groups.

The success of “Fly Me to The Moon 2.1” was partly due to the multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural project team. The different disciplinary of our team has exposed us to various perspectives making each individual more attentive to details. Examples of such profession are the architects, civil engineer, aerospace engineer, etc. It was tough in getting ideas across at first, but we soon learn to tolerate one another by actually seeing things from each individual point of view. This was the key to achieving the latest “Fly Me to The Moon 2.1”. The architects are responsible for the modelling of the rocket due to our exceptionally fine skill in model making. Civil engineer working alongside with architects making sure it is structurally sound. Lastly, the aerospace engineer with the designing and testing of the water Rocket.
